Sturtevant, Wis., May 17, 2010 – Consumers interested in purchasing a new boat and engine package can now try out a perfectly-matched Ranger/Evinrude rig at upcoming test ride events in key markets across the United States. Ranger Boats and BRP’s Evinrude outboard engines brand initially launched the test drive program in 2004 and have expanded
the program each year.

“The Evinrude/Ranger Test Ride program has been quite successful in bringing consumers closer to our products and allowing a first-hand experience at the performance this boat and engine combination provides,” stated Yves Leduc, vice president – general manager for BRP’s North America Division. “Providing a test ride on a major purchase is key to closing the sale and teaming up with a premiere boat such as Ranger delivers the ultimate demonstration for our engines,” Leduc concluded.

Consumers who participate in a test ride will have an opportunity to run the latest Ranger models including the 621, 620, Z521 and Z520 that will be powered with Evinrude E-TEC engines ranging in horsepower from 250-hp H.O. to 300-hp. The new state-of-the-art Evinrude ICON gauge system will also be available for demonstration. Consumers who purchase within 60 days of the test ride will receive a free Ranger boat cover and a stainless steel prop; a combined retail value of $1,600.00.
